Rocky Wolf Sled Dogs
At Rocky Wolf Ranch, we work with two traditional northern sled dog breeds: the Canadian Eskimo Dog and the Alaskan Malamute.
Both breeds are known for their strength, loyalty, and close connection to Arctic working traditions, and we value their unique heritage and distinctive character.
Our dogs live with us and are part of our daily ranch life.
We follow a responsible and ethical approach to keeping sled dogs, placing strong emphasis on proper care, training, physical and mental development, socialization, and breed-specific needs.
Visitors can meet our dogs, learn more about their history, characteristics, and working abilities, and experience how we train and care for them as part of our year-round programs.
Sled dog adventure
Your adventure begins here!!
At Rocky Wolf Ranch, just a few minutes south of Rocky Mountain House in Alberta, you can discover the world of sled dogs.
We offer programs with our dogs year-round –
from authentic sled dog adventures in winter to engaging experiences in summer.
Whether on the sled, out on a (snowshoe) hike, or during feeding –
you experience the dogs as they are in their daily routine.
This is complemented by family and group programs with campfires, archery, and other outdoor experiences.
